Founder and National Coordinator of Jonathan Actualization Movement (JAM), Mrs Basirat Nahibi has said that President Goodluck Jonathan stands for the peace and unity of Nigeria.She spoke in Sokoto at the Northwest Town Hall meeting of the Movement on today.
“Jonathan has performed creditably in all spheres of human life. His reelection in 2015 will enable him to complete his term and sustain his current achievements. The current security challenges in Nigeria are about the entire Nigeria,” she stressed.
Urging Nigerians to re-elected Jonathan for peace, unity and socioeconomic prosperity to prevail, Nahibi also warned the youths in the country not to yield violence, which could threaten the peace and unity of Nigeria.
Speaking through the former Governor Attahiru Bafarawa, the state PDP Chairman, Ibrahim Milgoma promised that the members of the party would continue to be law abiding.
“PDP owns Sokoto state and we will be fair to all if elected,” Bafarawa said.
The Northwest Zonal Coordinator of the Movement, Alhaji Abba Anas and its National Secretary, Mr. Danladi Baido appealed to the people in the North to support Jonathan for continuity.
Sokoto state Deputy Governor and PDP governorship aspirant, Mukhtari Shagari commended Jonathan for throwing his full weight behind the party in the state.
“President Goodluck Jonathan loves and respects the people of the state and we will reciprocate the gesture by voting him and other PDP candidates at all levels, in 2015,” Shagari promised.
