The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maj.- Gen. Farouk Mijinyawa, has sought for continuous inter-agency collaboration to enhance security in Ogun.
Mijinyawa was addressing troops of the 35 Artillery brigade, Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta, during a familiarisation visit to the command on Thursday.
The GOC underscored the importance of cooperation and collaboration among security agencies, saying that the army could not do it alone.
He expressed delight about security situation in the state, calling on the troops to continue with the good team work and spirit.
Mijinyawa appealed to the officers to always be professional in discharging their duties wherever they were deployed.
“We cannot do it all alone, we need the support of other security agencies. I want you to continue with that good team work and spirit.
“I have been getting good report that Ogun state has been very peaceful. Wherever you are deployed for duty, make sure you do your job very well.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the GOC also inspected ongoing projects within the Alamala Barracks. (NAN)
