The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has expressed its readiness to offer assistance to other law enforcement agencies in solving complicated crime cases through the use of crime scene technology.

Ben Ikani, Head, Forensic and Crime Laboratory Services Department of the EFCC, disclosed this on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 while speaking at a refresher training workshop on the use of crime scene technology organized for forensic experts of the Commission at the EFCC Academy Karu, Abuja.

Ikani, who spoke through Churchill Torru, a Senior Detective Superintendent, said the Department had commenced its regular refresher training of forensic experts in the Commission on the use of crime scene technology in order to enhance professionalism and expertise.

“There are only two crime scene technology experts with experience in blood stain analysis in Nigeria. Hence, there is need for continuous trainings for transfer of knowledge to other experts”, he said.
