An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday ordered that a fashion designer, Saka Alao, be remanded in prison for pushing a man into a moving vehicle.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr A.A. Fashola remanded Alao, 35, who resides at No 15, Amuje, Abeokuta Expressway, after he pleaded guilty to conspiracy, stealing, assault and attempted murder.
Fashola adjourned the case until Friday for sentencing.
Earlier, the Police Prosecutor, Sgt. Michael Unah, alleged that the defendant pushed Mr Aminu Abubakar , who was repairing his truck into a moving vehicle on the expressway.
Unah said that Abubakar fractured his left leg after being pushed by the defendant and others, at large on April 28 at Ijaiye Bus Stop, Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway.
He said that the defendant also stole the complainant’s cellphone valued at N11, 000.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 175, 228, 287 and 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos state 2015, (Revised). NAN
