A case of alleged impersonation, burglary and criminal trespass brought against one Mr Ken Gbalikuma by the Progressive Peoples Alliance PPA was today adjourned to the 7th of December 2012 by the Upper Area Court Gudu, Abuja.
Gbalikuma is alleged to have forcefully and illegally broken into the head office of PPA on the 31th of July 2012, claiming to be the National Chairman of the party. The alleged intruder was said to have stormed the National secretariat Of PPA with thugs numbering over 50, chasing away everybody in sight before taking over and plundering the office. Gbalikuma who was at one time national organising secretary of PPA left the party in 2011, contested and lost the position of governor of Bayelsa State under the African Renaissance Party ARP.
It was for these alleged acts of criminality and illegality that Progressive Peoples Alliance went to court to seek redress. Reacting to the development, the National Chairman of PPA, Chief Sam said anybody could claim to be anything he liked, adding that “members of PPA know who their National Chairman is”.
The absence of the presiding judge who had gone to attend the ceremony to mark the beginning of legal year in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), stalled the proceedings of the case, forcing the registrar to adjourn the matter to the 7th of December, 2012.
