A former Military Governor of Kaduna State, Colonel Abubakar Umar(rtd) has called on troops to maintain the ongoing momentum in the battle against bandits in the North West.He said the efforts should also be extended to every part of the country.
The call was made as sources told News Diary Online that Nigerian military has eliminated Halilu Sububu described as a notorious Bandit terrorising Zamfara and its environs.He was killed along with his fighters.
Col Umar who spoke with News Diary Online said there is excitement over reports of the elimination of Sububu.And there is renewed hope over the capacity of the military to tackle the bandits,Umar added
Maintain Momentum
Umar while reacting to this “significant development”, told this newspaper that troops should be encouraged to move along this trajectory
According to him, “Maintenance of Momentum is one of the principles of warfare.”
The military should be supported record more successes in the battle to tackle insecurity, he said
Umar further told News Diary Online that the military has been recording appreciable successes in various battlefields generally under the leadership of CDS General Musa.They deserve to be supported, he said.
