Chinese firm to employ varsity students as sales officers – UDUS VC

As part of the immediate  gains of the federal government’s ease of doing business policy, a reputable Chinese firm , based in Abuja, Nigeria, is set to recruit a reasonable number of students of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, as marketing /sales officers , according to its Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdullahi Abdu Zuru.

The firm, FABCOM Structural Ltd, manufactures coloured,  stoned coasted and compressed  steel roofing tiles, as well as sheets .

The resolution to recruit the lucky students of the premier university by the company was reached after a successful meeting between its management, led by the VC, as well as those of the firm , led by its Deputy Managing Director,  Mr Jackie Dai Hui, in Sokoto , on Tuesday, 28th August , 2018.

Professor Zuru, who was visibly elated said, “This is a very happy development, hugely facilitated by the enabling environment provided by the federal government .

“This is an immediate and direct dividend of the federal government’ s ease of doing business policy .”

According to the VC, the invaluable gesture would further help to *curtail* unemployment , youths restiveness and capital flight , among others .

In the same vein, Professor Zuru stated that , the move would bolster capacity building,  local contents integration ,as well as,  technological development  and rapid industrialization of Nigeria .

“This gesture would also help to facilitate the federal government’s current laudable efforts to revive the economy, ” Professor Zuru, added.

He said that the firm had already held an interactive discussion with the prospective students , who would serve as the retinue of Nigerian staff of the company, when finally recruited.

“We are also going to work out modalities to ensure that,  the proposed work  schedules would not in anyway affect their study schedules,” Professor Zuru,  further averred .

Speaking earlier, Mr Jackie Dai Hui,  stated that, the firm was happy to invest in Nigeria sequel to the prevailing enabling environment provided by the federal government.

Mr Hui further expressed optimism the partnership between the firm and the institution would prosper , sequel to the existing cordial relationship between them.
