President Muhammadu Buhari has terminated the appointment of the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Alhaji Sanusi Ado Bayero.
A statement by Mr Femi Adesina,Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity) said the termination of Alhaji Bayero’s appointment is with immediate effect.
“He is to hand over the management of the NPA and all government property in his possession to Mr. Habibu Abdullahi who has been reinstated as Managing Director of the NPA by President Buhari.”
Also Buhari wished Alhaji Bayero well in his future endeavours” the statement said.
The sack of MD of NPA follows the evidently tactical approach the president has adopted replacing helmsmen of key public institutions even before his cabinet is constituted.
Last week, a new GMD for instance was appointed for the NNPC.Several other changes have been made in the corporation.
