President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with the Chairman, Plateau State All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders Advisory Council, Captain Joseph Din (Rtd), as he turns 81 on June 30.
According to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari congratulated the family, friends and associates of the elder statesman as the retired army officer marks another significant milestone in his life.
The President commended Din’s patriotism, commitment to justice, equity and integrity which he had brought to bear since his retirement from the army in 1971 on business pursuits and active politics.
“The President is particularly pleased with the efforts of the founding member of the APC and his colleagues in the Elders Advisory Council to bring about lasting peace in Plateau State.
“He prays God to grant the revered octogenarian continued good health and longer life of worthy service to his fatherland and humanity,” the statement read.
