Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has condoled the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Alfa Belgore on the death of his wife, describing a wife as one of the precious gifts from God.
In a condolence message issued by his media office in Abuja, the former Vice President said Belgore’s wife had become a pillar and source of strength to the family of the retired jurist.
While praying for the repose of the deceased, the former Vice President said the greatest tribute Belgore and his children could pay to the memory of the matriarch of the family was to make her proud in life and death through good conduct such as benevolence, humility, affection and love of humanity.
“Children are like a mirror, which reflects the memories of their dead parents. A wife or mother takes credit for every good virtue demonstrated by her children in life and death. And the best way to immortalize the late matriarch of the family is to make her proud by their conduct in life,” Atiku said.
