Former Governor of Niger State Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu, as well as the Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate in the 2015 governorship elections, Umar Mohammed Nasko, are to be remanded in prison.
Justice Aliyu M. Mayaki of High Court, Minna, Niger State gave order in his ruling on Tuesday.
According to the judge, Aliyu and Nasko should remain in prison till May 3, 2017 when their application for bail would be heard.
Reports said the former governor as well as Nasko were arraigned Tuesday at the High Court in suit number: NSHC/EFCC/2C/2017: Federal Republic of Nigeria versus Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu and Umaru Mohammed Nasko.
