Reports from Kano said the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Alhaji Abdullahi Minkaila and family members have burnt to death.
According to The Nation,the REC was burnt along with his wife and two children, in an inferno when his residence was engulfed by fire.
The report said though Minkaila and his family were rushed to the Murtala Mohammed specialist hospital after the fire incident on Thursday, they died Friday morning.
The exact cause of the inferno was unclear immediately but .Mallam Garba,INEC spokesman in the state has reportedly confirmed tragic incident
