Nigeria’s military announced on Saturday that that it has killed 50 insurgent during a raid on their hideout in Kawuri as the Boko Haram members were planning to launch an attack on Konduga,Borno State.
One officer and two soldiers were however “seriously wounded” the Defence Headquarters ,DHQ said.
This announcement was made on the twitter handle of Nigeria’s defence headquarters @defenceinfo
The tweets read:“Over 50 terrorists died this afternoon as troops raided their hideout in Kawuri before setting out on a planned attack on Konduga”.
“1 Fabricated Artillery Gun, 2 Anti – Aircraft gun, an armoured vehicle and assorted types of ammunition were captured in the process.”
“Some hardware, weapons, food items and personal belongings were also destroyed in the #KawuriRaid
“One (1) Officer and Two (2) Soldiers were seriously wounded”
