At Least 26 Killed As Boko Haram Attacks Military Post,Borno Village

Reports today said at least 26 persons were killed Tuesday night as Boko Haramattacked a military post close to Damboa town.Those killed comprised 21 soldiers and five villagers .
The fresh Boko Haram attack occurred at Bulabulin-Ngaura, 50km away from Maiduguri and 35 km from Damboa.
One of the soldiers who survived the attack said the gunmen came in over ten trucks and motorcycles armed with heavy weapons like rocket launchers, anti-aircraft and numerous assault rifles.
Report said The soldier trekked to Maiduguri .He rcounted how he saw 16 colleague s felled and he threw in the towel after exhausting the ammunition at his disposal
The soldier was quoted as having said ,“They came in their dozens driving over ten trucks and several motorcycles; we were at our normal duty post in Bulabulin-Ngaura village. None of us expected anything; the attack was a terrible one; as I am talking to you now I have been told that some of my colleagues had been taken away”, said the soldier.
He told reporters “they came in over 30 vehicles, mounted with Anti-Aircraft guns (AA). We could not match them because we had Ak47 rifles that are not fully loaded. When we realized that they have taken over the place, some of us escaped to Maiduguri and other places but many could not make it. As we were busy engaging them I saw over 16 bodies of my colleagues on the ground that made me to give up because I was not having enough ammunition to carry on”.
Five civilians were also killed in the attack.Our correspondent reported officials at the Specialist General Hospital Maiduguri confirming that corpses of soldiers had been brought to the hospital Wednesday morning.
