The Chairman of Ikole Local Government Area in Ekiti, Mr Sola Olominu, on Thursday charged the council workers to be more committed and diligent in their various duties in 2022.
Olominu gave the advice in a meeting held with members of staff of the local government in Ikole-Ekiti.
He said that his administration’s agenda included to promote transparency and ensure enabling environment that would make the workers happy.
The chairman charged members of staff to be punctual, devoted, creative and promote unity in their various departments.
“I want to thank God for the opportunity given to us to witness the New Year in good health.
“As we all have started the new year in peace, I want all workers of Ikole Local Government to be more diligent and committed to their job.
“On my own part, I am promising a conducive environment, good welfare package and good working relationship with all staff.
“My determination is to promote the development of the local government area as well as improve the infrastructure in the communities,” he said.
Olominu urged any member of staff who had any problem relating to his or her job to be free to speak with him for possible assistance.
He prayed that the Lord would protect every staff from evil, including kidnappers tormenting the state. (NAN)
