Suspected members of the Jama’atu Ahli Sunna lid Da’awati wal Jihad, popularly known as Boko Haram, this morning shot and killed a prominent leader of the Shiites group in Kano State.
It was gathered that unknown gunmen stormed the house of Alhaji Mohammed Alli, along Gadan kaya area of Kano, demanding an access to his motorbikes for Jihad, but the Shiites topmost leader turned down their request without reservation.
In process of this argument, the militants sect wasted no time to open fire on him and all efforts to save Alli’s life by sympathisers proved abortive as the leader gave up the ghost.
The remains of the Shiite’s leader has been deposited at the Murtala Mohammed Hospital.
The terror unleashed on the Shiites group led by Sheikh Ibrahim Yakubu Elzakzaky, could lead to intersect war between the militants sect and the Shiites.
The Shiite’s spokesman, Dr. Abdullahi Danladi, could not be reached at the time of filing this report.
