The Centre for Democracy and Development on Friday organized a gathering in memory of Dr Tajudeen Abdul-Raheem,a renowned Pan Africanist .The occasion which was attended by Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi also had very important dignitaries in attendance.They included Prof Okey Ibeanu , member of House of Reps Nkoyo Toyo,civil society activist Amina Salihu,Dr Kole Shettima and Dr Ibrahim Jibrin.
Also present were Professor Okello Oculi , Dr Usman Bugaje, Dr Odia Ofeimun,Comrade Issa Aremu ,Dr Hussaini Abdu of ActionAid and Dr Otive Igbuzor as well as Mr Chido Onuma and Lukman Salihu among others.Youth including university and secondary school students were in attendance.
Fayemi urged the youth to focus on good ideals that they wish to be remembered for .It is not the mansions or the titles or property acquired in life that matter,he said.Ofeimun read some poems.The 4th memorial for Dr Abdul -Raheem coincided with the 50th Africa Day Celebration.The event was held at INEC Electoral Institute,Abuja.
