Be Positive Change-Agents ,Mark tells Pilgrims

President of the Senate, Senator David Mark has urged Nigerians to shun anti- social behaviours and instead be positive change -agents needed for the transformation of the Nation for the good of all citizens.

Senator Mark said attitudinal change was what the citizens needed to bring about positive transformation  in our families, schools, organizations and the entire society.

Addressing Nigerian  Pilgrims just back from holy pilgrimage to the state of Isreal at St. Mulumba Catholic Chaplaincy, Apo in Abuja yesterday, Senator Mark noted that although the Pilgrims went on religious mission, they must have learnt some positive things that could help transform our society .

He urged them to see themselves as role models and fore runners in the task of  bringing positive changes in the country.

He said: “I believe that if all of us , the leaders and the led performs our roles creditably ,Nigeria would be a model for other nations to emulate. I am convinced that we can all make positive changes and make our nation a better place for all”.

Senator Mark reiterated the need for peaceful and harmonious co-existence between and among religious groups saying ” we must continue to preach peace, live in peace and unity with our neighbours.

” We should love each other and see ourselves as good children of God. We must work against all negative tendencies such as violence and insecurity in our country today”.

Senator Mark was pleased that  the pilgrims exhibited good conduct while in the Holy land .

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Chief David Idoko briefed the Senate President who facilitated the holy pilgrimage that all the pilgrims returned home with no one absconding.
