2014 World Cup: Nigeria Draws Argentina Again

    The reigning African Champions, Nigeria have been drawn alongside Argentina in Group F of the 2014 World cup in Brazil.
    Nigeria will also face Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina in Group F of the preliminary round of the 2014 Fifa World Cup .The draw ceremony took place Friday evening in Costa do Sauipe, Bahia State Brazil. The event was greeted with great fan fare that showcased the culture of the country. It was a spectacular treat that left mouths wide open including the crème de la crème of world football.
    Other groups include: Group A: Brazil, Croatia, Mexico and one of the African representatives, Cameroon.
    The defending champions, Spain was drawn in Group B alongside, Nertherlands(2010 world cup runners up), Chile and Australia. While Colombia, Greece, Cote d’Ivoire and Japan will slog it out in Group C.
    In Group D Uruguay, Costa Rica, England and Italy will also battle for the first and second slots. Meanwhile, Switzerland, Ecuador, France and Hunduras are drawn in Group E. And Germany, Portugal, Ghana and USA will slog it out in Group G, while Group H, has Belgium, Algeria, Russia and South Korea.
    Secretary General of Fifa Jérôme Valcke was in charge of the draw and was assisted by some of the main icons of football history, representing the eight countries that have won the 19 editions of the World Cup to today: Sir Geoff Hurst, Mario Kempes, Fabio Cannavaro, Lothar Matthaus, Zinedine Zidane, Fernando Hierro, Cafu and Alcides Ghiggia.
    Meanwhile, Nigerians have tipped the Super Eagles of Nigeria to progress to the second round of the world biggest football fiesta next year in Brazil.
