The incessant concoctions of falsehood by the All Progressives Congress against the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose has been described as barbaric by the State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Jackson Adebayo, the PDP described the rate at which the APC was growing wings in manufacturing of lies against the governor as a deliberate attempt by the opposition party to slow the pace of development being pursued vigorous by him.
The party stressed that the promotion of falsehood in the name of politics of opposition by the APC was a manifestation of the party’s destructive tendencies as exhibited by their government when they were in saddle in Ekiti State.
“The way they concort lies upon lies everyday against our governor only portends that the APC doesn’t believe in the peace and development of Ekiti state and its people. It is also a manifestation of the destructive tendencies inherent in the party,” Adebayo said.
Adebayo explained that “a cursory look at these unmastered falsehood by the APC exposes their gullibility more than communications of any information,” saying “how could a rational being telling the public that Governor Fayose collected N22bn from the Federal government as a refund of N15bn road projects embarked upon by the State government, out of which N3.5bn was refunded between 2006 and 2008.
He added that for an healthy sensibility and rational mental exercise, it will take only few minutes to rubbish such allegation and count it among products of retrogressive imaginations of the leaderships of the opposition party in Ekiti State.
“Again look a statement by the governor on the need for education summit to address the rots that was created in the education sector by the immediate past APC government which they twisted poorly to commercialisation of education in the state by the governor. It is not surprising however that a party that ran the education sectors aground in the state would appreciate this laudable development which has generated remarkable applause from both students and parents in the state.”
Adebayo noted that it will take APC in Ekiti state several years to gather their mind together to be able to see things in the right perspective, saying this is because the party is peopled by those who hate the state and its people with religious tenacity.
He however maintained that there is no amount of jointed or disjointed fabrications or jejune blackmails that can disturb the PDP government being led by Governor Ayodele Fayose and
stop the development agenda and popularity of the Governor.
He urged members of the opposition party to bury their ignorance and face the reality before their party finally go into extinction.
