As President Muhammadu Buhari settles down for the business of governance, former military governor of Lagos State, Gen. Buba Marwa has urged Nigerian youths to be patient with the President as he unfolds his agenda for the country.
Addressing the leadership of an APC youth group, APC-Volunteers, who paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja Wednesday, Marwa said that the President was working round the clock to address the numerous needs of the country adding that the needs of the youths will definitely top his priority.
Marwa also tasked the youths to show ingenuity by contributing their quota to the development of the country, noting that they have great roles to play in moving the country forward.
“The President is definitely working round the clock to solve numerous challenges. As things take shape, his agenda for the country will be implemented and I believe that your concerns in terms of jobs and other needs will be addressed.
“Let us exercise a bit of patience and support him to succeed. I also want to remind you all, to contribute your quota in whatever capacity. Nigerian youths are highly resourceful and the President needs your contributions,” he noted
He assured the APC Volunteers of his commitment to continue to advance the needs of Nigerian youths, while accepting to be their Patron.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the group, Barr. Olusegun Bamgbose, who led other executive members to the meeting, commended Marwa for heeding the calls of his numerous supporters nationwide by returning to the APC, which he helped to build.
He expressed optimism that the youths who look up to Marwa for inspiration and guidance will benefit from his return to the APC.
Bamgbose assured that his group will come up with various initiatives to support the government of President Buhari, while urging the country to give him a chance to succeed.
