Senate President Senator David Mark has described the demise of the former Primate of the Anglican Communion, Church of Nigeria Arcbishop Abiodun Joseph Adetiloye as a sad loss to the nation and the Christian community world wide.
Senator Mark in a reaction to the death of the outspoken Arcbishop lamented that Nigeria has once again lost one of her outstanding patriot and statesman.
Senator Mark added that late Bishop Adetiloye would be remembered for his concern for the welfare and the living standard of the down trodden , his crusade for peace and unity of the nation where every citizen have a sense of belonging.
According to Mark, ” Adetiloye was a man of impeccable character . He was a honest and dedicated servant of God who identified with the ordinary man. He was a good man”.
He Condoled the government and people of Ekiti state especially the bereaved family for the loss saying that the late clergy left a legacy of selfless service to humanity.
Senator Mark noted that Adetiloye in all ramifications was a great man who lived for others to be happy.
