#TrackNigeria: The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Okitipupa Local Government Area (LGA) of Ondo State has begun posting of staff and distribution of sensitive materials to various wards ahead of Saturday’s House of Assembly and Supplementary elections.
Ondo State would only take part in House of Assembly election and Supplementary elections in the Southern Districts of the state.
Mr Etuk Andrew, the INEC Electoral Officer in Okitipupa LGA said on Friday that it was set to conduct a credible election on Saturday.
He said the early posting of staff and distribution of materials to all various wards was to forestall delay in Saturday’s electoral process.
Andrew also said that tight security had been arranged to protect staff and electoral materials taken to the various centres.
“We have begun the posting of staff and distribution of sensitive materials to all the wards in order to ensure the process starts on time.
“Security will be beefed up to protect our staff, sensitive and non-sensitive materials, ‘’ he said. (NAN).
