The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Wednesday welcomed members of the Society of Practicing Television Cameramen to the FCT Command Headquarters in Garki II, Abuja.

The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Wednesday welcomed members of the Society of Practicing Television Cameramen to the FCT Command Headquarters in Garki II, Abuja.

The meeting focused on fostering collaboration between the Police and the media to promote national unity and development. Speaking during the interaction, CP Disu emphasized the vital role television cameramen and journalists play in shaping public opinion and advancing societal progress.

“The media serves as a bridge between the public and institutions like the police. Your work is critical to fostering transparency and unity, and we encourage you to continue upholding professionalism and ethical reporting,”CP Disu said.

He further assured the delegation of the Command’s dedication to maintaining a positive and cooperative relationship with media practitioners in the FCT.

CP Disu emphasized the importance of ongoing dialogue and collaboration to ensure effective information dissemination and mutual understanding.

In response, the visiting team of cameramen expressed appreciation for the Commissioner’s recognition of their contributions and pledged their commitment to fair and accurate reporting.
