Nigeria’s famous anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC has denied reports that it had frozen the accounts of popular Enugu-based Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka .
Wilson Uwujaren,head, media and publicity said in a statement Thursday “there is no truth in the report and should be discountenanced”
“The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC has been drawn to reports in a section of the media claiming that the Commission had frozen the accounts of Enugu-based Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Mass fame”
“The Commission wishes to state that there is no truth in the report and should be discountenanced.
“We urge journalists to endeavour to cross check their facts with the Commission to avoid turning their organizations into instruments of public misinformation”EFCC spokesman said.
