APC membership registration: Lagos council chairmen, revalidate cards

Some Local Government Chairmen in Lagos State have revalidated their APC membership cards at the ongoing registration of new members of the party.

Alhaji Ganiyu Egunjobi, the Executive Chairman, Agege Local Government revalidated his membership and urged party members in the community to take advantage of the exercise too.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Egunjobi revalidated his membership at Ward A ‘Isale Oja’ in Agege community.

Similarly, Dr Ahmed Apatira, the Chairman, Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area (LCDA) used the occasion to called on residents in the community to troop out en-mass and join APC.

Apatira also urged party members in the LCDA to also go to their various polling units to revalidate their membership cards.

The chairman revalidated his membership status at his Polling Unit 012, Itire Wards by Ogunsami Street.

At Mushin Local Government, the council Chairman, Mr Emmanuel Bamgboye, encourage residents to join APC or update membership as the exercise began.

“It is time to join the progressives.

“Inform your neighbours, friends and family members to join or update their membership of APC,’’ he said.

Mrs Omolola Essien the Chairman, Lagos Mainland Local Government has officially revalidated her membership status with the APC at the Old Ward D, unit 037.

Similarly Mrs Rasheedat Adu, Chairman, Iru-Victoria Island LCDA, flag off the APC membership registration exercise.

Adu also took advantage of the occasion to revalidate her membership at the polling unit located at landmark area of Lekki.

She also sensitised the members present on the merits of the registration.

“I enjoin you all members to register, revalidate and canvass for new membership registration.

“This will help to get our data for future reference and also help to accommodate new members to the progressive family.

“However, let us adhere strictly to COVID-19 guidelines, observe social distance and use the face mask appropriately,’’ she said. (NAN)
