The Concerned Indigenes of Kaduna Central Senatorial District said they are set to recall Senator Shehu Sani.
The group, with each representative from the seven local governments that make up the senator’s constituency said the senator has betrayed and declared war against his people for working against President Muhammadu Buhari by amplifying the challenges faced by the nation, while ignoring the progress made by the Buhari-led administration.
Chairman of the group, Aliyu Saidu, he said the group is ready to pursue this recall process with relentless commitment.
But Senator Shehu Sani in a swift response described the group as sponsored thugs and rabble rousers paid to forment chaos.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Politics, Comrade Suleiman Ahmed, Senator Sani said, he will continue to speak for the voiceless.
He described the move as ‘one of the tactics usually employed by the Governor Nasir El-rufai led administration to frustrate politicians who crossed his path’, adding that the group working towards the senator’s recall has no office of recognition.
Speaking to journalists during a press conference in Kaduna, Saidu said the recall process became imperative as the senator kept undermining the development of Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.
His words: “By working against the president and identifying with the enemies of the Buhari administration, Senator Shehu Sani has not only betrayed his constituents, he has declared war on them.”
