Showmax, a streaming service in Africa, has announced the return of its exclusive talk show, “The Buzz”, to discuss ‘juicy gossip’ from the highly anticipated BBNaija reality TV show.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that ‘The Buzz’ which will be available to viewers alongside the BBNaija show, will premiere on Aug. 1 with new episodes dropping every Thursday, exclusively on Showmax.
Dr Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and Channels, West Africa at MultiChoice, expressed her excitement about the show’s return.
“We’re delighted to bring back The Buzz.
“The show promises to deliver even more juicy gossip, sizzling drama, and unfiltered fun this season.
“It will unveil, unravel, explore and discuss all the drama, the gossip, the tears, and everything in detail.
“On The Buzz, Toke Makinwa will be joined by celebrity guests and top BBNaija show commentators to dissect all the moments from the reality show.
“Toke Makinwa’s energy and charisma make her the perfect host, and we’re confident that this season will be even more thrilling than the last,” she said.
Tejumola also emphasised on ‘The Buzz’ becoming an integral part of the BBNaija experience.
“The Buzz is in its third season. We launched the first season of The Buzz three seasons ago.
“The third edition of The Buzz will be bigger, better, with more juice. As you know, the contestants are going into the house as pairs.
“The show will also feature never-before-seen footage from the House, as well as other engaging segments that will keep fans on the edge of their seats.
“I think Toke and her guests will have a field day analysing what’s going on in the show.
“Don’t miss out on the drama, the excitement, and the tea.”
BBNaija season nine will begin July 28 and the winner will walk away with a grand prize of N100 million and a new SUV.
However, unlike the previous editions, the housemates for this year’s edition will enter the BBNaija house in pairs as they will also carry out all the challenges in pairs.
The show will run for 71 days after which the winner will emerge. (NAN)
