Assemblyman Labaran Shafa has urged his constituents to promote peaceful coexistence and remain alert to forestall security breaches.
assured the people of his constituency of his continued determination to put smile in their faces through the initiation of different good policies and programmes in order to improve on their standard of living.
Shafa represents Toto/Gadabuke Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
He made the appeal during the coronation of Mr Abubakar Aguye, the Onah (Village Head) of Idere Community in Toto Local Government Area of the state.
The lawmaker equally urged them to embrace peace in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
Shafa, who is the House Committee Chairman on Health, said that initiating people’s oriented projects would not only improve on the standard of living of his people but would also promote peace and bring speedy development to the area.
Besides, he called on the people of Idere community to support their community leader to succeed.
“Though, it will not be possible for me to reach everyone individually in this area, but I will continue to do my best through various empowerment, human capital development and other programmes in order to touch on your lives positively.
“I want to call on all of you to support the Onah to succeed, he needs our prayers and support to achieve unity, peace, progress and development of Idere community.
“On my part, as your representative, I will continue to put smile in your faces by initiating good policies and programes that will have direct bearing on your lives.
“I also want to call on you and other people of my constituency to continue to give me the much needed support to succeed,” he said.
Shafa assured the people of his constituency of quality representation to enable them enjoy more dividends of democracy.
He also urged residents of the state to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to deliver on its mandate.
The lawmaker further enjoined Nigerians to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities, live peacefully and tolerate one another for development to thrive.
Also speaking, the Ohinoye Ogye of Toto Local Government, Alhaji Mohammed Azaki, a second class traditional ruler, while coronating the Onah of Idere Community urged him to carry his subjects along while discharging his duties in the interest of peace and development.
Responding, the new Onah of Idere community, who was visibly happy for the honour done to him, expressed his gratitude to the lawmaker in impacting he lives of the people of the area positively.
Aguye pledged his people’s loyalty and support to the present administration at the state and federal levels to enable them succeed. (NAN)
