#TrackNigeria: The Delta chapter of the All Progress Grand Alliance (APGA) has removed the state chairman, Alfam Enemokwu for alleged fraud and anti-party activities.
A statement signed by the acting chairman, Princewill Nwanchukwu and eight other members made available to Journalists in Asaba, Sunday said Enemokwu’s removal resulted from allegations of financial impropriety and autocratic leadership
“Since he assumed office in 2015, he collected and did not account for the regular Delta state government grant of funds to all registered political parties.
“Before he assumed office we used to receive at least N400,000 yearly, but he claims nothing is comingn again.
“After due consideration, two thirds of the State Working Committee (SWC) unanimously approved Alfam Enemokwu’s removal from office with immediate effect,” the statement read.
It added that apart from other forms of frauds allegedly found to have been committed by Enemokwu, he was also alleged to have attacked the acting chairman, Princewill Nwanchukwu for opposing to his activities.
Reacting however, the Enemokwu debunked the allegations.
“I am yet to know that I have been removed from office by the SWC of the party. Only the National Executive Committee (NEC) has the power to remove me and not those challantants,” he said.
