In an email circulated Sunday morning after the voting has closed,Odinkalu said “The final tallies are not yet in. But whatever that turns up, I just want to convey personal and heartfelt thanks to all who rooted, voted, participated, tweeted, facebooked, asked for more information, friended, unfriended, re-friended, whatsapped, blogged, BBMd, Google+d, e-mailed, etc in the #TulipPrize 2014 voting process.
“It’ll be both hopeless and tasteless to try to do a roll call.
“My colleagues at the Commission and I are grateful for the outpouring of touching support and will continue to count on our collective vigilance.
“To each and everyone, as the Mavins sang with the help of Don Jazzy, #DoroBoss!
“Thanks a whole lot for inspiration.
Read his message to everyone below:
Good morning,
I’m just getting a bit of a break from a frantic week of preparing for and conducting our Council meetings at the NHRC.
I’m, therefore, catching up on a bit of backlog of what’s transpired in the last few days.
The final tallies are not yet in.
It’ll be both hopeless and tasteless to try to do a roll call.
My colleagues at the Commission and I are grateful for the outpouring of touching support and will continue to count on our collective vigilance.
To each and everyone, as the Mavins sang with the help of Don Jazzy, #DoroBoss!
Thanks a whole lot for inspiration.
Always
Chidi
