A front-line aspirant for Kaduna Central Senatorial seat, Lawal Adamu Usman, has called on the people of Kaduna state and Nigeria, especially the youth to conduct themselves peacefully as Muslims celebrate the coming Eidil Kabir.
Fondly called Mr LA, the top aspirant whose recent shift of support base from the All Progressives Congress to the Peoples Democratic Party shook the entire political structure in the state, cautioned that festivities were only worthwhile when they are conducted free of ugly incidences.
He called on the people to always place their personal safety and those of others before any other consideration, saying, one is only useful when he is alive and well.
Urging the people to respect all road safety regulations, Mr LA also called on authorities charged with the responsibility of safeguarding public safety to carry out their duties diligently without molestation.
He expressed appreciation for the immense support and encouragement he receives from all categories of people of Kaduna and vowed to ensure they are reciprocated.
He however reminded the people, particularly his supporters that their support could only make meaning if they back it up with permanent voter cards.
“I therefore encourage all eligible voters who are yet to own the PVC to take advantage of the two-week extension for the exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission. Our votes are our only sure way of getting our voices heard and ensuring that our ideas and choices are respected,” Mr LA said.
