BPE signboardDirector- General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), Mr. Benjamin Ezra Dikki has implored the Muslim Community in the Bureau to use the remaining period of the Ramadan Fasting to pray fervently for Nigeria to overcome her security challenges.
Speaking when he held IFTAR (breaking of fast) with the Muslim staff of the Bureau in the evening last Wednesday, Dikki reminded them that Nigeria was going through trying times which required the prayers of all religious denominations.
The DG who spoke just as news filtered in of a bomb explosion in Kaduna where scores of lives were lost and several others injured, said that anybody could be a victim given the random nature of the attacks and that it required the collective prayers of all faiths.
He commended the Bureau’s Muslim faithful for their constant prayers which have lifted BPE to greater heights and which have made it possible that no staff of the Bureau nor their relations had been victims of the insurgency in the country.
Dikki prayed God to continue to preserve the BPE family and urged the Christian and Muslim communities in the Bureau not to relent in their prayers for the nation and the Bureau.
He further commended the Chairman of the National Council on Privatization (NCP), Arc. Namadi Sambo for his unflinching support to the Bureau which has resulted in the achievements so far recorded.
Speaking on behalf of the Muslim faithful, the Director of Post Privatization Monitoring (PPM) in the Bureau, Mallam Ibrahim Kashim, assured the DG that Muslims in the Bureau would continue to work to uphold the ideals of BPE for the overall good of the country.
