PDP Senators Ask Sheriff, Others To Return Home

Senators of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday asked dethroned Chairman of the Party, Ali Modu Sheriff, and other party members who joined another political party to return home.

Briefing journalists, the caucus led by the Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio who made this known described the Judgment as no Victor, no vanquished.

Akpabio assured the defectors members of the party that nobody would be penalised for defecting when returns back to the party.

He said the victory is not only for the members of the party but for all Nigerians adding today is a great day for Nigeria’s democracy.

Also speaking, the former Senate President, David Mark said the process of change the change is on course with the decision of the supreme Court on PDP.‎

According to him, “it is not victory for PDP but for democracy. This is warning for us that we should  never allow family dispute to get to this level, change the change is on course. I think I must also thank the media for their support during the struggle. We use this avenue to welcome all PDP defectors back home.‎”
