Nigeria’s Minister of State Petroleum , Ibe Kachikwu was sighted at the Presidential Villa on Friday.
The minister upon arrival, proceeded to hold a closed-door meeting with Presidential Muhammadu Buhari after which he exited the Villa.
Kachikwu did not disclose anything from his meeting with Buhari as he said “no comments” when reporters sought to hear from him.
Also, the embattled Group Managing Director of NNPC was sighted at the Villa. But only Kachikwu met with the president.
The minister of state had written a memo to Buhari complaining of insubordination by Baru.He also accused the GMD NNPC of awarding contracts totalling about $25billion without due process.
Kachikwu’s memo which was leaked to the media has ignited a flurry of calls for the suspension of Baru so that a thorough investigation can commence.
