President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has described the death of distinguished former banker Chief Oluwole Adeosun as a painful and sad loss.
Jonathan while recalling Chief Adeosun’s laudable career in the banking sector, also commended his contributions as Secretary of Transport, Aviation and Communications under the Interim National Government (ING) headed by Chief Ernest Shonekan in 1993.
“As Chairman of the National Pensions Commission (PENCOM), Chief Wole Adeosun contributed immensely to pension reforms and the nation will no doubt miss his uncommon experience and expertise,” the President said.
A statement by Reuben Abati special adviser (media & publicity) to the president said Jonathan who also commiserated with the Adeosun family in particular and the government and people of Ogun State in general over the passage of the revered Osi of Egbaland, prayed that God will grant the soul of the departed eternal rest.
