Reports Tuesday evening said two detained journalists of Kaduna based Hausa language newspaper, Al Mizan have been released on bail.No details of the bail were available at the time of this report.
Mohammed Awwal Musa ,editor and Aliyu Saleh, reporter were whisked away by security forces in a commando-like dawn operation last week.They were arrested ostensibly on the heels of a story on activities of JTF in Potiskum, in embattled Yobe state ,Nigeria.
Their continued detention without trial drew the ire of the human rights community.Chidi Anselm Ondinkalu,chairman of National Human Rights Commission said in a statement that the continued detention of the journalists did not pass constitutional muster.
