‘Chief Servant’ Receives A Pat On The Back For Peaceful Zonal Congress

The Chairman of Northern Governor’s Forum, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu received a pat on the back for  ensuring that the last zonal congress of Peoples Democratic party at the North central which took place in Makurdi was done in an atmosphere of peace.The Governor had prior to the congress informed all party stakeholders within the North Central Zone to key  into the agreement reached by the National Executives  of the party who decided to zone offices  across the six geopolitical zones.

He also in his bid to achieve peaceful, free and fair election went ahead to canvas for the principle of one man one vote, one woman one vote in order not to have  crisis as  experienced in some geopolitical zones.

The Newly elected National Youth Leader of the party Alhaji Garba Umoru in a chat  said what the chief servant, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu has done is unprecedented in the political life of the state, the zone and indeed the country at large.

“Niger State Governor  brought his wisdom and experience to  bear to  ensure peace in the polity because he makes sure that everything is done to eliminate all forms of thuggery which has characterized previous electioneering”.

The National Youth leader also said “he did it in Niger State where all party excos from the ward, local government zone and state levels were all returned unopposed, this is how our democracy should function since Nigeria is trying to make sure that our democracy has come to stay”.

He said the governor has also been canvassing among the National working committee of the PDP so that they can be prevailed upon to set all necessary machinery in motion  to immortalize some of its members that have died in active service so that their contributions would not be  in vain.
