Prof. Ayandiji Aina, Vice-Chancellor, Caleb University, Imota, Lagos, on Sunday said the institution had achieved unbeatable record which surpassed its 10 years of existence.
Aina, during the university’s 10th Annual Founder’s Thanksgiving Service, tagged ; ‘Ten Times Better’, said the institution had become 10 times better than when it started in 2008.
“Caleb University last year won third place nationally at the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) Competition and this is coming few years after we joined the league of universities which had been offering the course
“Our institution, aside having full accreditation in all its courses by the National University Commission (NUC), have got its Architecture course recommended to other institutions due to available facilities,” he said.
Mr Josiah Ademoye, the university’s pioneer librarian, thanked God for the progress recorded in the institution, noting that resources at the library had enhanced the institution’s accreditation.
The Guest Speaker, Pastor Esther Omodiagbe, said the greatest achievement in life is to experience continuous progress.
Reading a Bible scripture from the book of Daniel 1 vs 17, Omodiagbe said God has been faithful to the institution within the last 10 years as some other institutions that started before or after it had gone into extinction.
Another speaker, Pastor Samson Adegoke, said that to be 10 times better in life, one must fear God, meditate, be innovative which are the bedrock of invention.
Adegoke said that people must also be determined, uncompromising, visionary, discipline and decisive to be 10 times better in life.
