The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the gubernatorial election in Osun State as inconclusive.
INEC Returning officer reached this conclusion after announcing the results of the polls conducted on Saturday September 22,2018.
According the results announced, the ruling All Progressives Congress,APC polled 254,345 votes while the main challenger and opposition Peoples Democratic Party,PDP polled 254,698 votes.
According to INEC,the election was declared inconclusive because of the difference between the total number of cancelled votes, 3498, which exceeded the difference between PDP and APC’s total votes.
