A presidential hopeful, Mr Fela Durotoye has urged Nigerians to stop complaining about the nation’s problems and focus on ways to salvage the country using individual capabilities and resources.

Durotoye made the call in Enugu on Sunday while speaking as a guest on `Know Your Purpose’ at the House on the Rock Church.

The Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) aspirant said that creating dream Nigeria was the responsibility of all and sundry.

“If Nigerians hope for a country of their dreams, there is the need for everyone to play active roles and take up responsibilities in making it realizable irrespective of political and ethnic differences.

“Stop complaining about the problems in the country but begin to ask yourself what role you can play as individuals to bring an end to the problem,’’ he said.

The presidential aspirant urged eligible Nigerians to get their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) and vote for candidates of their choice and liberate the country from its present economic woes.

Durotoye also called on the elites especially those with leadership experience to participate actively in politics as a way to contribute towards building a united Nigeria.

“What Nigeria needs now is not just experience but leadership experience.

“Age is not a determining factor for becoming a leader because good leadership is the ability to make places and things better.

“It is only when Nigerians begin to see positions as a call to service and not for selfish purpose that we can have Nigeria of our desire,’’ he said. (NAN)
