The Emir of Zazzau and Chairman Kaduna State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji (Dr) Shehu Idris has admonished muslims leaders especially the ulamas to preach what will unite the religion of Islam rather than what will divide it.
The Traditional ruler noted that it has become pertinent for Islamic preachers to educate their followers on the right tenets of Islam as it is in the Holy Qur’an.
Alhaji (Dr) Shehu Idris made the call when the Secretary General of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu paid him a courtesy call in his palace in Zaria
According to him, preachers should endeavour to preach based on the tenets of Qur’an and Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in order to attract others into the fold.
The Emir appealed to the muslim Ummah to always register the birth and the death of their people in their respective Local Governments due to its importance for progress and development.
Earlier, the JNI Secretary general Dr Khalid Abubakar Aliyu told the Emir that he had embarked on tour of states in the country to assess the activities of the association in order to move it forward.
The JNI scribe said so far he has visited Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina and Kano States.
Speaking at the JNI Kaduna State office, Dr Khalid appealed to the officials to always work hand in hand with Ulamas to achieve the desired results.
He said Kaduna being the centre of the North, it has become necessary that state officials continue to put in their best so that other states would copy from them.
The State Chairman of JNI, Alhaji Jafaru Makarfi in his contributions said the Association has done a lot for the propagation of Islam in the State and beyond.
