The Kaduna Refinery & Petrolchemical Company (KRPC) has set a committee involving all stakeholders in the company to stem the activity of touts within the area, KRPC Public Affairs manager, Mallam Idris Abdullah has said.
Disclosing this during an interactive with journalists shortly after the opening of Kaduna correspondents’ chapel office which was furnished by KRPC.
Malam Idris said the company is highly disturbed by the activities of different categories of tours who often disturb the area hence the establishment of the committee to look into the problem whenever it arises
He said NUPENG, Petroleum tanker drivers and other associations at KRPC are all members.
According to him the duty of the committee is to look into any issue or action that is capable of disrupting the smooth running of the organization and recommend punishment.
He said the committee since it inauguration has worked very well.
The Public Affair Manager said that the KRPC is also doing everything possible to continue with its social responsibility of providing certain amenities for its immediate constituency and beyond.
Earlier in his speech the chairman correspondents chapel Kaduna Mr Luka Binniyat commended the KRPC for providing furniture, fridge and television among others.
