As part of the on-going efforts to promote reconciliation within the Peoples Democratic Party, the National Working Committee of the party has taken a decision to throw its doors open to allow aggrieved members come in to contribute their quota in building the PDP.
At the end of its NWC held wednesday in Abuja, National Chairman of the party, Alhaji (Dr.) Bamanga Tukur said the PDP Umbrella is big enough to accommodate everybody and therefore calls on all those who left the Party, or are not actively working with the Party, for any reason(s) to return to the party through their wards.
The PDP helsman further said that this exercise be carried out within thirty (30) days from the date this resolution was taken sating that Ward Chairmen and Secretaries should register such returning members without inhibitions.
The also warned that any one not allowed to go through this process should report such hindrance(s) to the next level, and up to the National Secretariat for necessary action, calling on the National Vice Chairmen to ensure compliance.
Meanwhile the NWC is setting up zonal reconciliation committees which will handle lingering disagreements and forge a more united Party.
