Samoa Deal: Caliphate Ambassadors disclaims allegations against Atiku Bagudu

A group, Caliphate Ambassadors, has debunked claims that Sen. Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget, signed agreements that include LGBTQ rights.

This was contained in a statement signed by the group’s Coordinator, Abubakar Muhammad.

He said: “The Caliphate Ambassadors categorically deny the claims suggesting that Sen. Atiku Bagudu signed any agreements, particularly the SAMOA agreement, with provisions related to LGBT issues. These allegations are entirely baseless and without merit.


It is crucial to emphasize that Atiku Bagudu has consistently upheld the values and principles of our nation, which include respecting our cultural and religious beliefs. The Minister of Budget has not engaged in any activities or signed any agreements that contradict these fundamental principles.

“As representatives of the Caliphate Ambassadors, we stand firm in our commitment to promoting transparency and accuracy in public discourse. The dissemination of false information undermines the integrity of our institutions and hinders our collective efforts towards national development.

“Furthermore, we urge media organizations, Religious leaders and the public to exercise caution and verify information before publication or dissemination. Misleading reports not only harm the reputation of individuals but also sow discord within our society.

Furthermor the statement said “The Caliphate Ambassadors reaffirm our support for Sen. Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, in his dedication to serving our country with integrity and diligence. His contributions to fiscal responsibility and economic development continue to benefit all citizens of our nation.

“We call upon all stakeholders, including the media, Ulama and the public, to prioritize accuracy and responsibility in reporting and consuming information. Together, we can uphold the values of honesty and accountability that are essential for our nation’s progress.

Specifically, the group said, “The SAMOA agreement is a partnership agreement between the European Union and the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States, aiming to strengthen cooperation and address global challenges.

“The agreement does not include any clauses related to LGBT issues, and its focus is on promoting sustainable development, human rights, and economic growth.

“Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has consistently demonstrated his commitment to upholding the values and principles of our nation, and his dedication to serving the country with integrity and diligence is unwavering”
