The first batch of intending pilgrims and officials numbering about 460 from Kaduna state has been airlifted by Med-view Airline to Saudi Arabia Wednesday.
Speaking during the official flagging off, the state governor, Malam Nasir El-rufai charged the pilgrims to obey the Saudi Arabia laws so that they would not be deported back to the country.
Represented by the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Alh Aminu Shagali, the governor remarked that last year they had the best hajj operations witnessed in the state, saying, this year the government intends to improve and be better.
He charged the pilgrims to pray for the good health of President Muhammad Buhari as well as over the sectarian crisis in Southern Kaduna.
Speaking on the occasion, the Managing Director of the Med-view Airline, Alh Muneer Bankole remarked that the airline would be using three aircraft for the exercise.
‘We have three big airplanes boeing 707,777 and 767. We are dedicated to this noble cause and God willing we intend to round up by Friday or Saturday.
He said being the tradition of the airline ‘we would not compromise in the provision of comfort to the 1,100 Pilgrims we intend to airlift to the holy land.
