…Celebrates former Lawmaker, Abdulmumin Jubrin

Northern Christian Youth Professionals have called on delegates of the All Progressive Congress (APC), especially those from the North to ensure that Bola Ahmed Tinubu gets the presidential ticket of the APC.
The group which is made up of Christians from the 19 Northern states lamented that Youths in Northern Nigeria have been neglected to the background in the political playing field of the region such as running for electoral positions, getting appointed into strategic political offices amongst others.
Delivering a speech during a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, the Press coordinator of the group Comr Isaac Abrak said that the group decided to celebrate Hon Abdulmumin Jubrin who is a two term member of the House of Representatives and now the current Executive Director of Federal Housing Authority (FHA), due to his tested and proven capacity, having commenced his political career as the coordinator of Support Groups which played key role in the reelection of former President Olusegun Obasanjo
Abrak expressed optimism that Hon Jubrin’s appointment as the Director General of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Support Group Management Council will yield fruit as he has the required experience to deliver on the mandate by harmonising the potentials of the thousands of support groups to get the Jagaban to Aso Rock in 2023.
According to him, Tinubu personifies the epitome of the politics of “one Nigeria”. He added that he built Action Congress (AC) which grew into APC, a force the NCYP reckons with.
He said, “Now to the man of the moment – Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu the man who personifies the epitome of the politics of “One Nigeria”. For instance, Bola Tinubu built a political party Action Congress (AC) in Lagos state 2006, it later metaphorized into Action Congress of Nigeria (APC) and successfully broadened it into a Regional Party in the South West. By 2015, he fused Action Congress Nigeria with other parties in the North and the South East of Nigeria to form APC.This did not only grow to become a strong national party, but it elected the first progressive president President Mohammadu Buhari – a feat that we Northern Christian Youth Professionals (NYCP) proudly identify with.
“In this regard, the Northern Christian Youth Professionals is calling on the APC delegates particularly those of the northern extraction to ensure that BAT gets the ticket as the Presidential Candidate, which will eventually get us into villa in 2023 by the Grace of Almighty God. Amen.
“Nigeria’s dwindling oil prices, falling exchange rates, budgetary deficits and the ever-growing prices of basic commodities like tomato, pepper and pure water would certainly need the ability of a person like Bola Tinubu who successfully created a financial machinery that grew the Internally Generated Revenue of Lagos State from 14.6 billion Naira in 1999 to 128.2 billion Naira in 2021.
“Now let us talk about how this concerns us – the youths. In the 1990s, the streets of Lagos were taken over by the Agberos (thugs), extorting money from the people, mounting roadblocks in places like Idumota – the business hub of Lagos and by extension Nigeria. Tinubu took the Agberos off the streets, transformed them and brought them back to transform the very streets they were destroying.
“The Agberos did not only transform their lives, their activities in organizations like the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) and the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, to mention a few, also contributed immensely to this Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of Lagos State that is being celebrated nationwide today.”
The NCYP in the statement, further said that Nigeria is facing tremendous insecurity issues today in the form of banditry, kidnappings, terrorism, cybercrime, and armed robbery amongst others, pointing that the issues are caused by unemployment and poverty.
Bola Tinubu, he added, has demonstrated his ability to transform Agberos into highly productive Nigerian citizens. “We believe that he can do it again, particularly in the North. He can transform the bandits, kidnappers, terrorists and armed robbers into productive Nigerians too; an effort that will not only guarantee us peace but also eliminate our current economic concerns.
“As Christians, we put our faith in God in everything we do and we never forget to present our case to our Heavenly Father in prayer.”
He mentioned that In the coming weeks, the group will be organizing different online and local prayer programs, calling on Northern Christian Youths across Nigeria and in the diaspora to pray regularly for Bola Ahmed Tinubu to get an opportunity to serve and improve the lives of Nigerians in the capacity of the President.
