Buhari Asks Senate To Approve $5.5bn Loan To Fund 2017 Budget

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu  has written to the Senate asking it to approve a loan of $5.5billion to fund the 2017 budget.

Buhari’s letter was read  by Senate President Bukola Saraki  during plenary on Tuesday in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja.

The  letter from President Buhari also said the 2017 budget had recorded a deficit of  $2.356trillion.
