The Family Club of Nigeria has called for extraordinary caution and moderation during Xmas and in the New Year.
In a release by the 35-year old family centred organisation and signed by its national President Professor Oluwole Osonubi, the Club enjoins all families in Nigeria to avoid excesses such as drunk driving, reckless driving, and late night travels and in every other thing they do this season.
And as elections are drawing near in the New Year, politicians are admonished not to preach words of war but focus on issues that will move Nigeria forward.
‘Nigeria should not be pushed to a situation that may lead to break down of law and order which may engender dire consequences including possible displacement of families and attendant woes.’ The statement adds.
The Family Club of Nigeria with chapters throughout the country and beyond, is an association of renowned academics, professionals and industrialists that has had a 35-year history of commitment to family issues, the promotion and propagation of marital virtues, and the sacredness of family unit as the bedrock of every society.
