The Minister of Sports and Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has condoled with the staff and management of the Vanguard over the untimely death of sports photographer Sylva Eleanya.
In a statement by his media aide, Mr Julius Ogunro, the minister described the late Eleanya as a diligent, industrious and creative journalist, whose work distinguished him amongst his peers.
“I was shocked to hear about his death today. This no doubt must be very sad for the Vanguard family coming so shortly after the death of another staff. I sympathize with the family of the deceased, and pray that his soul rest in peace,” the minister said.
